Buying secrets: Never wait until the flash deal drops to register! Create your account in advance to lock in 0% VAT net pricing and configure PayPal one-click checkout. Top-tier flash deals (Blitzangebote) drop on the hour and frequently sell out within 5 to 15 minutes.
1. Why Netcup's Black Friday is an Industry Phenomenon
In the European hosting market, Netcup's Black Friday event (Der Black Friday bei netcup) enjoys legendary status. Unlike mainstream hyperscalers that lure customers with temporary "first month discounts" only to jack up prices on renewal, Netcup's Black Friday delivers two genuine industry advantages:
- Lifetime Recurring Discounts: As long as you maintain the active contract, your 2nd, 3rd, and subsequent years renew at the exact promotional price you signed up with. Veteran sysadmins still run Black Friday servers secured half a decade ago.
- Substantial Hardware Spec Bumps: Black Friday special editions frequently bundle 2 to 4 GB extra DDR5 RAM, double the NVMe SSD capacity, or completely waive standard €5 to €15 setup fees.
2. Four Core Promotion Formats
Custom Root Server Editions
The undisputed marquee deal every year. 100% dedicated AMD EPYC physical cores with expanded NVMe storage, priced 15% to 25% below standard catalog rates.
Zero Setup Fees (Keine Setupgebühr)
Standard short-term monthly contracts or dedicated servers occasionally incur €3 to €15 setup fees. Black Friday waives setup fees across all models, minimizing initial risk.
Hourly Flash Deals (Blitzangebote)
Rotating limited-quantity items released every 1 to 2 hours on Black Friday. When inventory is claimed, the tier closes until the next drop.
50%+ Web Hosting Discounts
Plesk-powered shared hosting plans with free domain registrations, SSL certificates, and enterprise mailboxes regularly drop to €1 to €2 per month on annual terms.
3. Hall of Fame: Historical Black Friday Server Benchmarks
Reviewing past release specifications helps you instantly evaluate whether an upcoming deal is an unmissable value:
4. Four Critical Prep Steps (Avoid Costly Mistakes)
Step 1: Register at Least 3 Days in Advance for 0% VAT
Critical Warning: Netcup's strict legal accounting policy dictates that paid invoices will never have VAT refunded retroactively! If you rush through signup during a flash deal and accidentally pay a 19% gross VAT invoice, Netcup will not refund the tax difference. Complete account registration in advance, select your international country, and ensure your account reflects 0% VAT net pricing before the sale begins. Read our 0% VAT Exemption Guide.
Step 2: Connect PayPal Express to Prevent Verification Timeouts
Blitzangebote inventory often disappears in minutes. Pre-login to your PayPal account in the browser, or save PayPal as your default payment method in CCP to avoid delays caused by SMS 2FA codes.
Step 3: Disable Datacenter VPNs to Avoid Fraud Filter Blocks
During high-volume flash promotions, Netcup tightens its automated risk scoring (MaxMind). Ordering from commercial VPNs, proxies, or with a name that doesn't match your PayPal payment account triggers instant automated cancellation. Always place orders over your genuine home broadband or mobile connection.
Step 4: Verify the Minimum Contract Term (Mindestvertragslaufzeit)
Promotional machines offer incredible value, but typically mandate 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month commitments. If you only intend to evaluate the server temporarily, remember to submit your cancellation in CCP at least 30 days before the contract term concludes.
5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Do Black Friday promotional servers qualify for the 30-day money-back guarantee?
Standard Root Servers are covered by Netcup's official 30-day satisfaction guarantee. However, certain limited-run flash promotional items (Aktionsartikel) may explicitly exclude the satisfaction guarantee in their checkout terms. Check the service agreement checkboxes before finalizing payment.
Q: Which datacenter location should I select? Nuremberg or Vienna?
We recommend Nuremberg, Germany (code: nb/nue) as your default. Nuremberg is Netcup's flagship datacenter campus with the highest peering density and carrier redundancy, providing the most reliable international and transatlantic routes. You can test latency using our Looking Glass Speed Test.
Q: What other annual promotions does Netcup host?
The Easter Egg Hunt (April) and the Advent Calendar (December 1–24) also feature limited-run hardware tiers and surprise vouchers. Outside of seasonal sales, our verified €5 welcome voucher and model-specific free months vouchers provide exceptional day-to-day savings.
